Adventurer LP, a premium RV manufacturer since 1969, has been in Yakima three years and employs 61 in our community. After a recent tour of Memorial’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, several managers from Adventurer asked in what way their company could help. The Memorial nurse who conducted the tour expressed need for several pieces of equipment.
The tour resulted in a $5,000 corporate gift from Adventurer. The policy of the Canada-based company is to match community giving, so Foundation Development Director Kellie Connaughton and KIT Radio quickly arranged a live call-in show to highlight the need for equipment in Memorial’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Ninety minutes and 40 pledge calls later, the match was exceeded, raising $6,340 from our generous community, to total $11,340 for the NICU. Thank you Adventurer LP for your generous corporate match and giving back to our community in such a meaningful way
