The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 gives taxpayers some great deductions for charitable giving from Individual Retirement Accounts.
Through this calendar year, donors age 70½ or older are once again eligible to move up to $100,000 from their IRAs directly to qualified charities without having to pay income taxes on the money.
These dog days of summer are a great time to review your charitable giving plans and make those qualified charitable gifts! An easy, tax-saving way to support the health programs and services you love throughout Memorial’s Family of Services. See your financial planner or call The Memorial Foundation at 576-5794 for further information.
