From the tiniest of tiny, to kids of all ages, the healthcare needs of our community’s children are being met through the generosity of people like Ruth Dolsen. Thanks to this generosity, Memorial’s learning lab now includes a SimBaby® and a SimMom®. Pictured are Mrs. Dolsen and Memorial Hospital Board member and Children’s Initiative chair, Buffy Alegria.
SimBaby® and a SimMom®, advanced patient simulators, provide unsurpassed local training and education for care providers throughout Yakima. The advanced mannequins can be programmed to simulate health crises in real time, enabling intense specialized training sessions to help healthcare providers recognize and manage pediatric and childbirth emergencies affecting both mother and baby.
We are deeply grateful to these visionaries for stepping forward to make sure these modern training tools are available for the health and safety of our community.
