“When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart and you will find that in truth, you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” Kahlil Gibran
Our community’s beautiful Cottage in the Meadow Hospice Care Center has been open now for 2 months and has embraced 49 patients who needed care in a soothing environment during their final days. What a gift it is that our community has this Cottage for end-of-life care.
Perhaps we come to the Cottage with anxiety, guilt, fear, grief or worry in our hearts as we realize that we can no longer care for our loved one at home. As we weep, grieve, spend quiet time, relax, love, receive comfort, receive healing for our loved ones and for ourselves, we come to understand this gift of time together. We understand our sorrow and accept joy and peace at being able to provide our loved one with these beautiful surroundings, this tranquil environment that is part of the end of this particular journey.
We accept truth.
