If you’ve ever walked down the hall toward the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Memorial, you already know Evie Farmer. She’s one of the babies featured on the alumni wall for getting her good start in life at Memorial’s NICU unit.
Evie, now 5, stopped by the NICU on June 20, exactly five years after she graduated from the NICU, a place that was her home for the first 81 days of her life. Evie and her family were on a mission: to present a generous donation to the NICU from the Washington State Patrol Troopers Association. Evie’s dad, Jay, is a state trooper, and her mom, Theresa, is a registered nurse in Memorial’s Day Surgery.
Those who cared for Evie when she was born at 26 weeks, weighing 1 pound, 13 ounces, were delighted to see a happy and healthy Evie, along with her whole family.
Consider making a gift to The Memorial Foundation to help other little ones, like Evie, get a good start on life.
